Scott Lee, Pastor for Preaching and Leadership
Samuel Scott Lee, the first of three children, was born to Mr. and Mrs. R. Sam Lee of Fort Smith, Arkansas, on May 7, 1963. He came to faith in Christ in the summer of 1981 shortly after graduating from High School. In 1984, while earning a degree in chemistry from Arkansas Tech University, Scott met and married Ms. Amy Hughes of Benton, Arkansas. The young couple moved to Fort Worth, Texas immediately after graduation in 1985, so Scott could attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in seminary he was Manager of Research for the O.A. Battista Research Institute and, with Amy, was heavily involved in Beautiful Feet Outreach Ministry, working with the homeless of Fort Worth. While in Seminary, he and Amy had the joy of bringing two daughters into the world: Stephanie (1987) and Kimberly (1990). After graduation, the family moved to Arnold, MO (1991) where Scott pastors Rockport Baptist Church, as well as teaching locally for Missouri Baptist University and internationally for HeartCry Missionary Society.

Bob Schembre, Pastor for Worship and Ministries
I was born in Miami, Florida and was raised primarily in the Crystal City / Festus, Missouri area. I served six years in the U.S. Navy where I received the Navy Achievement Medal. I was three years into my service when God saved me, on June 10, 1977. My life was changed forever after that encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ. After finishing my Naval service, I attended Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga and graduated with a diploma in Theology. I co-pastored the Victory Baptist Church in Lafayette, Georgia for two years while in college. I then left, and went to Brooklyn, New York, where I founded and Pastored Lifeline Baptist Church, which I Pastored for seven years. This ministry was mainly to new young converts, mostly Hispanic, and street people with many drug problems. I was then called to Pastor First Baptist Church in Ellsinore, Missouri, which I pastored for three years. In 1994, I was led to start a Bible Study in my home in Festus, which led to the founding of Cornerstone Baptist Church, which I pastured for nine years. After resigning in order to begin some writing, I found myself at Rockport Baptist Church, where I fill an associate Pastor role, as Worship and Ministries Pastor and Elder. I have a wonderful wife, Faith, whom I lay down my life for. I also have four wonderful children and six grandchildren. My two sons are called into the gospel ministry and are currently serving at Karis church in Columbia, Missouri.

Kurt was born in St. Louis and grew up in House Springs, MO. He grew up Catholic, graduated from Northwest High School, and attended Jefferson College 1 year. A high school friend (attending what is now Truman University) asked Kurt to come to Kirksville for a visit. During that weekend (which happened to be a Baptist Student Union retreat) he saw something in the lives of those students that he didn’t have. God saved Kurt and in 1973 he transferred to Truman University where he became part of the BSU and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business. In 1976 he married Cindy Stelplugh and moved to LaPlata for 6 years before returning to the St. Louis area (Arnold). Three sons born in 1980, 1982, and 1986 completed the family. He was ordained as a Deacon in 1985 and has been serving as an Elder since 2006.
