Prayer Spotlight:
My name is Billy Jackson. I am one in a family of ten. I was born in Tennessee and moved to Missouri when I was two. I was saved from my sin, and rescued for Christ when I was eight years old. Before that I had prayed with my dad when I was five; and other times on my own. But I had not really meant anything more than (Hey, I don't want to go to hell!). When I was eight I was thinking that over one night, and I was really worried about where I was going after I died. I was going over in my mind a picture book illustration that was used in Children's Church, and showed the condition that man was in. I was pretty sure I was one of the men left on the wrong side of the gulf that separated sin from God. But that night something clicked for me to realize that that's what the bridge was there for. To save sinner's like me. The big thing I realized was that God would accept me because of Jesus. I had already been confessing my sin that night when I realized that Jesus paid for it if I would give him his rightful place in my life as Lord. Since then I've been striving to live for Him. My plans for the near future are to get to the point where I can support myself through wedding photography and to explore the possibilities of sports photography. I'm going to a sports photography seminar in Tennessee on July 29. I am trying to get some of my own wedding contracts to photograph. (I work with my dad right now). I've created a web site for this purpose billyjackphotography.com. You should check it out and tell me if it works right. My prayer requests are these....That I mature into a godly man, that I can be a good big brother and son, and that I could learn this trade that I enjoy and be able to support myself."

Jail Ministry
  1. Jeremy H. has requested visits. Please pray as Tren Groat begins to visit him. He wants God to be a stronger part of his life, that his parents would visit him, and that his bail would be reduced.
  2. Shaun M. has requested visits. Please pray as Tren Groat begins to visit him. He wants prayer because his girlfriend has lost her job.
  3. It doesn't appear that the Gideons will be able to help us to get the regular Bibles into the jail. There is still one possibility and, if that doesn't work, some of the men are talking about having their church help us financially. Pray that God would take care of this need. We need soft cover, entire Bibles, with big enough print to be read easily.
  4. Pray for Bake Ottofy as he will be preaching Monday night.
  5. Jeremy B. is asking what to do to be a Christian, he doesn't understand it. Pray for him. He needs to be able to comprehend the "One True God" Book we gave him.
  6. Crystal Y. knows she is not a Christian and wants to be, pray for her and Karen Dickmann as she visits. She may be sentenced soon, for perhaps 25 years.
  7. Pray that Michelle L. will be a good influence in the women's "pod" and for Amy Lee and she visits.
  8. Pray for Rob Wann as he visits Michael V. and Donald O.
  9. Pray for salvation for Darin W., Barry M., and Tom S., and Bake Ottofy as he visits them.
Spanish Ministry

We have been graced by some visitors that have come by to talk the last few days. These people attend our 8:00am service in Spanish at Rockport. Our group of people have become increasingly interested in the history of the reformation and after sharing with them about the story of Martin Luther, they are very excited about watching the movie. They only have one perspective of this man's life and death...what has been taught by the Catholic church. Would you pray for the group of people that came to borrow the DVD and are watching it today?

New People
We had three new people last week: Erika, Guillermo, and Abram. Praise the Lord! One of these is a brother of one of regular attenders, Ismael. This new guy claims to be a believer and at least has some experience with church music.

Resources
Please pray that we might continue to purchase items that we need for teaching, as well as we might receive assistance from a native Spanish speaker that could help provide some guidance for the ministry. My Spanish is very limited. Don't get me wrong, it is better than what it was...but there is so much more that this group of people need to be taught.

Continued Passion for current believers and Church Leaders
I don't know if something like this would be possible, but as an effort to reach current believers, Pastors, and leaders, I would like to see if there is a way to offer something in Spanish in conjunction with our local Founder's conference. To my knowledge, there are not many resources, if any, that are available like this for the Spanish speaking community in North America, specifically the U.S.
