Jail Ministry

Please intercede for these prisoners by name and for the ministry at the jail.
  1. Jack Bales was visiting Theodore Sancoucie. Theodore has refused the visits and is struggling spiritually: pray that God opens his eyes, and that he will want to be visited again.
  2. Matt Kaiser is visiting Alvie Brock. They are having good visits. He is reading his Bible (Revelation). He is also trying to witness, pray that the Lord will give him boldness. He has not had a court date in some time now. His lawyers are working trying to get him the best deal they can. Pray that the sentence will be light; and, that he will truly come to know the Lord.
  3. Billy Jackson is visiting Bart Massie. Bart is meeting with others and reading the Bible: pray that they would concentrate on truth and not trivial details. Pray for his next court date of 2-23; and, that the judge will not be too hard on him. Pray that he can get into long term treatment. He wants to be saved but hasn’t let go of everything else yet.
  4. There is a lot of time to read and this could make a real difference in a prisoner’s life. Ask God for continuing, ongoing financial support to pay for the good Christian books that we place in the jail.
  5. Gineth Hudson is visiting Quintin Schultz, and was visiting Donald Culton. Pray that Quinton will get the medical treatment he needs for schizophrenia. Donald is no longer in the jail: pray that he will find a Bible study group wherever he is sent to support him in his new Christian walk. Also, pray the Gineth will have more time from his busy work schedule to do the visits.
  6. Pray that prisoners will want to be visited to talk about their spiritual condition as a result of seeing the sermons. We are recording our Sunday services and they are being played in the jail. In a “lead-in” and “trailer” to the message, we tell the prisoners that they can request a visit from our church. Pray for the impact of these messages as they go into the jail.
  7. Ilda Kennon is visiting Jennifer Brooks and Amanda Mertens. Pray for Jennifer’s court on Jan 23rd. Pray for God's will in her sentencing. Pray for her daughter, Angel, who's exhibiting rebellious & out of control behaviors. Amanda has court Jan 30th. Pray that she will be released, for her son, and for the other girls in jail. She's dealing with personal bitterness over being held with insufficient evidence.
  8. Ask God that more Bible studies will go on among prisoners; there are several going on with the men in the lower level on Wednesday and Sunday. Plus, some of the prisoners are sharing their faith with others. Pray for a revival in the jail; that God would change hearts and make it a place where prisoners will hear the gospel.
