SAMMUEL SCOTT LEE, the first of three children, was born to Mr. and
Mrs. R. Sam Lee of Fort Smith, Arkansas, on May 7, 1963. He came to faith in
Christ in the summer of 1981 shortly after graduating from High School. In
1984, while earning a degree in chemistry from Arkansas Tech University, Scott
met and married Ms. Amy Hughes of Benton, Arkansas. The young couple moved to
Fort Worth, Texas immediately after graduation in 1985, so Scott could attend
Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. While in seminary he was Manager of
Research for the O.A. Battista Research Institute and, with Amy, was heavily
involved in Beautiful Feet Outreach Ministry, working with the homeless of Fort
Worth. While in Seminary, he and Amy had the joy of bringing two daughters into
the world: Stephanie (1987) and Kimberly (1990). After graduation, the family
moved to Arnold, MO (1991) where Scott pastors Rockport Baptist Church, as well
as teaching locally for Missouri Baptist University and internationally for
HeartCry Missionary Society. |
